80 yards in that wind is impressive! Archery desert is tough, but there's no need to scream and shout. You never know who is hunting around you, and how much would you hate it if you were scouting, packing in, hiking, stalking, and hunting archery and someone close to you starts screaming on the mountain side. To me, the best part of doing what I went there to do is seeing the world around it not change much. Constructive criticism.

shot them im going with the alpha x 30. love the grip and the balance on the hoyt and agree on the mathews being top heavy, and the draw cycle is smooooth. get what feels good to you .

Lefty here. Looking at the RX7 ultra and the Phase 4 33 both fully loaded for the same price. I don’t have a place to shoot them side by side. Any recommendation?

The Bowtech SS34 is a much better now.

Shot both and I thought the draw cycle was night and day. The LIFT had a smooth draw cycle until about 80% of the full draw it felt like it was harder for the cam to roll over. The Hoyt was smooth and consistent the whole way back. Lift was definitely lighter but after you add accessories it wouldn’t add up. The grip was also nicer on the Hoyt

Not surprising consodering Hoyts carbon bows are usually the weight of aluminum versions..

Im Amazed first at Price,Being a New Archer ,was Ez to setup and shoot ,,Used for couple sessions of lots of arrows downrange,Arrows are fine, rest wore out after 200 arrows,i just flipped the brushes,works fine again,one of the pins came out on the release.Sanlida sent new one from X9,recieved in 4 days,.Went to local shop and will purchase new rest. Cant wait to keep sending arrows downrange

It’s funny how before I got the bow I was scared it was gonna tune like my nexus 4 (same grip)…. Despite the speed drop, out of 9 bows I’ve owned- this is the nicest.

A bit late but that knob that you had on really tight on the landslyde at 3:25 does not need to be loosened at all to adjust windage. It is so you can remove the entire head and put another one like if you have a single pin or a smaller housing etc.

Mach 30 won bow of the year

Everyone keeps telling me to buy once cry once but there is so much to learn with archery and brands. I have a used hoyt defiant. It aggressively wants to pull forward. I'm 52 with 2 major shoulder injuries ajd my draw strength isn't good. I'm drawing at 50# now but working on it. Trying to figure out if I should get a low pound age drawing bow like the mathews image etc or maybe a 60lb bow tuned down until I improve. I'm enjoying shooting .

Wow, this is all opinion. No data or sampling. Data would say this is too much exaggeration - loss of maybe 4-5 fps, and WB has shown to be accurate as hell out to 100- yards.

I shoot the Torrex xt at 27.5” draw with 433 gr. arrow. 65# draw weight. I get 268 fps.

Great info! I’m 6’ tall and draw length 30, I noticed you mention you’d buy this for your kids, would you recommend it for an adult my size?

I'm 5'8 190lbs. I prefer the 29.5 after I test shot both of them. I haven't seen the vid yet, so I'm curious as to the reasons beyond "feel!" I like the 29.5 for weight and compactness, especially when in awkward shooting positions.
